Dr. Marisa Catapano cares for human beings across the lifespan with a wide range of dis-eases, and her passions are emotional wellbeing and integrative cancer care. With a deep reverence for the innate healing power of nature, and of the body as an inextricable part of nature, Dr. Catapano is committed to providing her patients high quality, individualized health care that harnesses the mind-body connection, addresses the root causes of dis-ease and fosters long lasting wellness.
Inspired by her mother’s battle with stage IV breast cancer and her own transformative experience with naturopathic medicine, Dr. Catapano pursued a Summa Cum Laude education at Boston University and the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine. She later completed a two-year oncology-focused residency to help cancer patients thrive during and after treatment.
Recognizing the profound impact of emotions on health, she integrates Neo Emotional Release (NER) into her practice, facilitating deep healing on both physical and emotional levels. Dr. Catapano is dedicated to empowering her patients to reconnect with their bodies, reclaim their vitality, and truly enjoy life.
Why Naturopathic Medicine?

Treating Root Causes,
Not Just Symptoms
Rather than merely suppressing symptoms, naturopathic medicine seeks to identify and treat the underlying root causes of illness. By addressing the fundamental imbalances and dysfunctions contributing to disease, naturopathic treatments can provide longer lasting relief and better overall health outcomes.

Holistic and Personalized Approach
Naturopathic medicine takes a holistic approach to healing, recognizing and harnessing the interconnectedness of body, mind and spirit to promote optimal wellness and wholeness. Treatment plans are highly individualized and address many levels of health.
Natural and Minimally
Invasive Treatments
One of the core principles of naturopathic medicine is the use of natural, minimally invasive therapies like nutrition, lifestyle counseling, botanical medicine and manual therapies. These modalities stimulate the body's innate healing abilities with fewer adverse effects compared to conventional pharmaceuticals and invasive procedures.
Doctor as Teacher
Patient education and empowerment are of the utmost importance. ND's spend ample time with patients in order to establish trust, teach them about their disease and help them understand what it takes to achieve and maintain health.
Prevention
Whenever possible, NDs work with patients to identify risk factors and create healthy habits before disease manifests to facilitate lifelong wellbeing.
